Temple 8 (Structure 9K-1), the "Pink Palace", Muyil. Temple 8 is a Postclassic shrine, which still preserves vestiges of painting inside. The pyramidal base was remodeled a number of times, and it seems likely that the residences of the ruling elite of Muyil were those whose ruins are found in the vicinity of Temple 8 (photo and caption: Stanley Guenter).
